Very rarely in the National Football League do you see a punter make a tackle.
Men who are trained to kick don’t necessarily know jiu jitsu, and add a 6-foot-3 230-pound running back coming at you and most punters will quickly opt out.
Those punters aren’t Matt Bosher. The special teams savant has been dazzling for the Falcons this year.
On average, Bosher’s punting the ball eight yards farther than he was over the course of his career, including a 69-yarder against the Giants.
However, even those numbers aren’t as telling as this Vine from 2013 when the Falcons were playing the Jets on Monday night.
The Dirty Birds lost 30-28 to Geno Smith(!?) and company, but the true memory we need to take away from this is the six seconds of mayhem below.
Not only does Bosher horse-collar tackle the life out of Jeremy Kerley, but he proceeds to get up, bowl over a Jets assistant coach and then mouth off to then-head coach Rex Ryan.
